I don't write a whole lot about political stuff anymore (I used to be hardcore about it all), but this made me want to scream. I always hated Condoleeza Rice with a passion....this just proves to me why:

It doesn't surprise me in the LEAST that Condi was in on approving waterboarding. The President doesn't act in a vacuum, and gets input from amny top officials. National Security Chief and the VP are just two of the people who had to be in on this decision. CIA, FBI, and any number of high officials also have their hands in this.

I really hope they investigate the attorneys who gave legal excuses/loopholes to that administration to use these techniques on a wide basis. At the very least they should be disbarred.

God seriously. I just loved Cheney's response too "yeah I think it worked." HAHA.
NO SHIT! I think if someone was pouring water over my face and mouth and I was strapped down...I'd be pretty damn cooperative!

It sounds like people are starting to fling accusations all over... I've read that it was originally a CIA program, that Colin Powell was briefed after it had already started (people suspect due to he would have been against it), and that members of a congressional subcommittee also signed off on it. One thing just mentioned that some legislation introduced a few years back was designed to stop the waterboarding, which indicates that people knew about it.

All of which just deepends my total distrust of, and apathy about, politicians and the government. It's good things are changing now. I wonder if all these people will be tried as war criminals?
