No point in hiding any more. I think it would be best if I cleared some things up now.

The one who was harmed was Phineas, a member of our "scientist group" or whatever you may call us. He's in our care, and he will live. No one else is injured. Not physically. Details on the attacker aren't mine to say. I know many of you are worried, but please ( Read more... )

We went to find out. The expedition didn't end well, as you can see. What is known is that it is dangerous, so please be careful.

It's yours to keep if you so wish. The one who dropped it doesn't need it back.

I'm sure he'll be able to give much more information than I can once he's stable. For now, I'll do the best I can to keep everyone informed.

One of ours, yes. I believe it was one of the girls who dropped it, but neither of them seem particularly interested or concerned to have it returned.

You actually took to the streets.

Surprised?

I've seen how you recover bodies. So, yes.

I wasn't thinking clearly at the time. Besides... all things considered, it was a little fun.

Can you tell me your name?

You can call me Green. Most others do.

I won't press you for information like the others, but it is clearly implied by most of us here that we would appreciate an explanation to what exactly we are doing here.

Although some may disagree with me, it really is not our position nor business to pester you all for details, although some of us may be concerned for our loved ones, which is quite understandable.

A little light on the situation would be nice, but not necessary.

Thank you for your understanding, Edgeworth. You're a bright man; there's no doubt you'll discover the answers you want on your own. There's no need to worry for your loved ones, rest assured. They are just as you left them.

Currently, nothing can be confirmed about what transpired in the sewers. I... we'll let you know when we can. For now the main concern is everyone's safety. Just... please be cautious and keep your head? Terrified people are just as deadly as any creature.

Thank you. I can sense some sort of feeling of intrusion that could come from the constant questioning.

People are usually afraid of what they can't understand. The information you have already given us has helped quite a bit.

If you don't mind me asking, is there a reason you and the other scientists keep locked away from the rest of us?

It's something we've grown used to. The frustration of not knowing is understandable, though.

Such is the nature of humanity. It doesn't matter where they're from, nor their differences in culture or mindset or world. People are people. I'm glad to have helped in whatever way I can :)

Many reasons. There is... a bad history. We've lived in seclusion for so long, it may be habit. Familiarity makes the heart grow fonder. However, I think it would be nice to live among all of you. I'd feel much more like a human and less like a forgotten part of the world.

Not that I want to make you get completely off topic, but you're one of the scientists people here keep going on about?

I like how we've evolved from "Sneaky Group". Being referred to as a scientist is more dignified, but it doesn't quite have the same charm.

Hey, you never know: a few months down the road and you might have a new one that meets both criteria.
