As wonderful as you all have been, finding her identity once again isn't something you can offer her. And as much as I wish I could trust you all, I'd only be deceiving myself into believing no one would want to take advantage of the ( Read more... )

Nothing meant to harm you. It's only meant to give extra incentive for her return, especially for those who are not so generous with their actions.

...I'm sorry. I know you have a good heart, Ness. Please understand that others do not.

But.. Roxas, Logan, and Ichigo.. They're nice too, aren't they? I don't know about the computer guy or the other one, but we would've taken her back, just as we said.

...Yes, they are. However, there are others here who may see it as an opportunity. It won't be long, I promise. We simply can't take chances. We've lost her once, twice if her mind is too far gone. We can't lose her again.

You kidnapped us away from our homes and keep us trapped here. You expect us to scavenge and struggle to live, and you just stand back and watch when we start killing each other.

I can't possibly imagine why you wouldn't trust us.

Such is the way of this world.

As long as that name still lingers, so does the sentiment.

One would suspect you would hold no moral implications on performing such an action. You are simply safeguarding your assets in an otherwise volatile situation, a tactic not entirely unexpected.

The question is, what might your precaution be?

"Assets" may not be the term I'd prefer to use, but that would be the general idea.

Nothing harmful. It will be a bit like a trade, if you will.

I'd say you were playing a dangerous game with some of the more...unstable guests of the city, however, you hold all the cards in your hand.

One does not need any sort of power to brandish a knife, either way. I imagine the consequences would be much worse if that were to happen.

And in that respect, only we would know the rules to the game.

I can defend myself against such, if that should be the case. This will only reduce the likelihood of a much more violent conflict occurring.
