Authors Note: I'm posting this and then something completely different and slightly depressing. Seriously. It's awfully depressing.
Part 1 Carla was staring at the sight in front of her with a slightly horrified expression on her face.
"Truly-"
"It’s not that bad, Carly," said Truly with a smirk. Carla looked at her and Truly snorted at her expression. "Would you rather I go in alone?"
"I would rather you didn’t go in at all," muttered Carla, following Truly as she made her way into the warehouse on the edge of the pier. "So gross!"
"Quit whining," said Truly, grabbing onto Carla’s sleeve and pulling her into the crowed of people dancing along with the strobe lights.
"Isn’t this illegal!" shouted Carla over the music. Truly shrugged and continued over to a darker corner of the building. Carla gave Truly a once over, not noticing until now that she was going through a with drawl.
Truly stopped as she felt her phone on her hip vibrate. She cursed under her breathe quietly and checked the caller id before pulling Carla into what looked like the cleanest, quietest place in the whole damn place.
"What's going-"
Truly clamped her free hand over Carla’s mouth and answered her phone quickly.
"Hey, Danny," Carla’s eyebrows raised at the name.
"Hey, wanted to let you know Flack’s workin’ tonight."
"He is?" asked Truly with a frown. "What’s he workin’ on?"
"Some rave goin’ on by the-"
"Danny, I gotta go," said Truly suddenly, her heart rate speeding up slightly. She could almost see Danny frowning on the other line. "I have another call, is this something I can call you back on?"
"You can if you want," said Danny. Truly hung up on his and pulled her hand off of Carla’s face, running said hand through her hair worriedly. Carla gave her a look and opened her mouth to ask what was wrong only to be cut off.
"We gotta go."
"Thank god. I thought you’d never say those words," said Carla, relieved. "What changed your mind?"
"The cops," muttered Truly under her breath, looking around her for a quicker exit. "You think that window is bolted shut?"
"The window is probably to let the smoke out," said Carla, moving past Truly and climbing on the edge of a conveniently place barrel, giving the window ledge a once over before sliding it open. "What did you say about cops?"
"COPS!?" Truly and Carla turned around to see a very shaken teenage girl with blood shot eyes, staring at them with her mouth hanging open. "COPS!"
Truly groaned and shoved the kid out of the room they were in and turned to face Carla, giving her a look.
"Way to go," snapped Truly. "We just started a mass panic."
Carla stared at Truly for what seemed like an eternity, listening to everyone around them scream. Truly motioned Carla out the window, climbing out the window after her.
"This was not what I had in mind," muttered Carla as she pulled herself out of the window, glancing down to see how far the ground was and groaning.
"Move or get arrested," said Truly irritably. Carla shot her a look and slid the remaining way out of the window, dropping onto the ground and laughing as she hit earth. Truly quirked an eyebrow down at Carla, wondering briefly if she wasn’t high already. She didn’t ask though, just climbed out the window herself, being slightly startled by people running past them with glow sticks.
"You’re right," said Carla, turning to look at Truly. "This was so much fun."
