ok- firstly you are giving birth not her. She can just deal with it. secondly- woman...i'm being totally selfish here, but we haven't seen any pictures! hop to it! :p
My mom has already told me she wants to be in the room when I give birth. And I'm like noooo!!! She had been smoking and drinking when my sister was in labor, and the smell made my sis throw up. I normally have a queasy stomach, so I can only imagine what it will be like when I'm in labor. Besides, like you, I don't want to have to deal with the stress of having my mom there.
However, I really want to give birth at home in my bathtub. In which case, she can be in the house, or in the room, just not in the bathroom.

You shouldn't have to worry about that kind of stress when you're already going to be working hard to deliver.
Maybe find an advocate (outside of Buddy, he'll be busy helping you, probably) who can stand there and be nice but firm with people trying to get into the room, someone who will keep them out so it's not something you have to worry about.
