Our latest kitty adventure...

As yesterday was a holiday from work, I made an appointment to take Susano (our boy kitty) to the vet for his routine check-up and vaccinations. Our appointment was at 3:30. Hubby had to work yesterday, so he came home for lunch and then I took him back to work so that I could have the car for the afternoon ( Read more... )

Oh, that's terrible! I glad your kitty didn't get any sicker than he did. Poor little creature.

Yeah. I've been monitoring him all day. He's STILL not active at all. Currently, he's chilling on the couch.

So what's the appropriate dose for "demonic hell kitty"?

I'm really confused how someone who made it through vet school could mix up a dog and a cat though...

Well, it was the tech who made the mistake, not the vet. I don't think you have to go to vet school for being a tech, just tech school...

Appropriate dose for our kitty is probably pretty appropriate for a dog. :D Side effect - he's calm today!

wow, I can't believe they'd give a cat dog vaccinations! Ok, don't they read labels? Even new and inexperienced people can read... and only the animals suffer. I'm so sorry about your kitty and I hope he's fine now.

When me and Jeff tried to adopt cats (it didn't work out, our landlady would not approve) we talked to the shelter people and they discouraged going to Banfield. Well, at least at our location, cuz I know each place is different. And yeah, guess nothing beats that wellness plan you have for Susano.

It sucks that it happened, but it's probably not unlike grabbing the wrong notebook for class because they're the same color (hasn't that happened to everybody?).

I work in a plant lab and I just recently confused two of my samples. I was so stressed out about it, but it didn't turn out to make any difference. But anyway, I sympathize with both the kitty and the vet tech. :(

I can see how someone would make a mistake. It's just a bummer that both the cat and us had to suffer for it. :( It's ok now, though. Susano seems to be doing just fine.

Yeah, I'm sorry you and the kitty had to go through that... I'm glad she's doing better now. :)
