seeking out "evidence" against makers and purveyors of pornography (depicting presumedly consenting adults) is the obscenity. at least viewers of the pornography aren't yet under investigation.

seems a crime in itself to squander any resources at all on such a squad... i guess it's simpler and more sensational to focus on those filmed/photographed fucking than to shine the light on more despicable sights, such as the various positions corporations or "our representatives" fuck us over (usually with no lube, no less).

I think you may have something there. It definitely violates the standards of the community of which I consider myself a member, serves a prurient purpose (the Right-wing lust for power), and is totally devoid of artistic merit (or any other type, for that matter)...

I think you can read this as "seeking to define what pornographers are doing in such a light as to MAKE it illegal".
