But how much time did that kidnapped white girl in aculpulco(sp) get? Hmmm? News is not news anymore, it's just a way to sell SUVs to fat lazy americans and nothing gets their attention like a white girl in distress story.

ugh that girl's mom needs to get over it. her daughter did a little too much coke and died in the company of some random sleazeball who freaked out and tied bricks to her and threw her in the ocean. look i solved a mystery!

The major networks in this country are no longer run by journalists with any sense of responsibility, but are managed by large corporations with the thought of ratings and commercial sales in mind. Sensationalism and shock value are the goals of the day as Rupert Murdock, parent of Fox News, has shown. I never watch the big three traditional networks; instead I gravitate to PBS, BBC or CBC (Canadian NOT Christian Broadcasting.) But more than not, I still use online sources from all over the world.

However, that isn't to say that people would give a shit anyway, ever if they were aware. Harpers had a good article this month about how this country professes to be such a Christian country that emulates Christian values and morals, yet is one of the stingiest to help and quickest to judge.

as much as i know that it all comes down to the almighty Dollar, i guess it's because its so inconceivable to me to be such a slave to money that i try to pretend its not really so.
i get my news primarily from the bbc and the new york times, some of the last places news is still found sacred.

i'll definitely have to check that article out, it sounds right up my alley.
