I'm glad to see someone else reads the Toronto Star :)
BTW, The Star is one of my favorite newspapers, lately I've found it very impartial and consistently full of good articles addressing important societal issues.
As to US vs. CA universities... the atmosphere may be better, but based on my experience with two schools (UW in Waterloo and UW in Seattle) the Canadian school wins hands-down. Not necessarily in atmosphere, but definitely in terms of quality of teaching, fairness of grading, and general level of difficulty of the courses.
but i do read the star, though i'm finding it a bit TOO non serious at times now a days, and leaning back towards globe and mail, but it used to be the best at having fun and serious articles, it was a good all around paper.
but their news i always liked.
yeah well school sucks i hate it, and i really don't think i can do it any more
Interesting, I never found it to be non-serious. The globe has a more conservative leaning than I'd like. Then again I read the online version, not the paper one, so I'm not sure how they compare when you look at the entire paper.
Thankfully you'll be done with school in a couple of months...

star it depends on sections, news is usually pretty good. and it's definately liberal which i like :)
online one is usually the more seirous stuff, there's more 'fun' stuff in the actual paper.
