I find it rather curious how the community picks its... victims, I think I will say. Here I have remained a member for two years to the day and meanwhile, I've seen at least two versions of almost everyone from my own world come and go. Three in one case ( Read more... )

Hm, I'm your senior here, am I?

For some reason, I'm glad you haven't been replaced. "Better the devil you know" and all that.

It would appear so, yes. How long have you been a member then?

And I think I shall take that as a compliment. It makes me wonder, though, what my replacement might do in my stead. These other versions, as it were, don't always exhibit exactly the same sort of behaviour, I've noticed.

Two and a half years.

Yes, I noticed that as well. Birkin's daughter caught my attention briefly the first time she was here, even if we never spoke, but she seems more... well-adjusted this time. I wonder why that is.

A little longer then.

With regards to Sherry... I believe that the first time she was a member of the community, she was living in the custody of Umbrella, that was where she ended up after the disaster in Raccoon City. The Sherry of today, however, came from a time when she still had a home, even if her parents were not as present as she might like.

Three versions of one person? How very odd, to have so many come and go.

Indeed, and I doubt anyone will ever know the reason why. Then again, it's hardly as if it was a friend of mine.

This place has too many oddities to keep track of. Who was it, if I might ask?

A man named Chris Redfield who had an uncanny ability to throw wrenches into my plans.
