If you want to create a good piece of software using a new language/paradigm you have to re-write it at least once.

Does this go to explain about one's attitude as they grow up? I no longer tend to re-write some stuff inspite of the fact that I know it could be better. ;/

In my case, "April 6" effect is rewritten twice (once?).. waiting for third oppurtunity :D

Personally I find rewriting useful irrespective of whether the language/paradigm is new. It is also important that the rewrite be immediately at the end of the first iteration. This is something I regularly do at work. (Shhh...)
