Title: The Cross-Dimensional Character Collision (I'll come up with something better before wide release. You know, hopefully). Fandom: The Middleman. Among others. Characters: Lacey, Wendy, and implications of others. Rating: PG
Most crossover-able show ever, no one can tell me different. Is this a sequel to that other fic-let from before?
You can go downstairs and yell at him in the morning, it’ll probably make his day Doctor Horrible would make a pretty ideal Middleman villain, now I think about it. They enjoy their mad scientists on that show.
It works well enough. Lacey doesn't know about the TARDIS yet. Heh, it kind of amuses me to think that all this odd stuff is happening to Lacey, but Wendy doesn't know about it.
I wouldn't be surprised if something comparable to the Evil League of Evil cropped up on The Middleman. Sounds like good finale fodder, actually.
Lacey's going to be figuring some stuff out in this...it's just not stuff that Wendy's going to be quite ready to connect with other stuff. I am vague, yes.
I think I even mentioned something like that in the first Middleman fic I wrote (the Reaper crossover). It really could work, although I'm still not sure at the villainous potential of Bad Horse. I just want to pet him, you know? He's a very good looking animal.
I read this earlier but only now have time to comment (figures it would be just after I stopped watching "Gypsy", which led to all sorts of inappropriate thoughts about all the puppies in my fandoms having to do stripteases. Peter, Sam, MM...).
*cough* Anyway.
I'm already enjoying how this is shaping up. You have a perfect Lacey voice (“Someone’s been eating red meat again…”) and, of course, perfect hints of the Doctor. I'm looking forward to seeing where this is going and who's going to make appearances.
MM is a puppy now? Hmm. (Did you watch the latest episode?)
Lacey is fun; I really hated her first episode, but she's grown on me, and she's hilarious to try and write. Oh, who isn't going to make appearances, really?
Of course he's a puppy. A slightly serious but oh so earnest puppy.
And, yes, I watched the latest episode. I was rather... sad for MM and Lacey. The age difference is a bit pronounced but I did enjoy their little moments together. They were sweet, which appeals to me on far too many levels. The plot was a bit bland, though; even if it did provide me with a character to ship MM with. Man-crush, yes?.
He's a little too...strong a character to be really puppy-like, though. Maybe a year old Labrador kind of thing.
The first time I watched it, I wasn't too convinced by the MM/Lacey stuff, but upon reviewing, I liked it a lot more; it felt less forced. Oh, total mancrush. Some of the looks those two gave each other? I was a bit disappointed that he died in the end.

...Maybe. Yes.

They do indeed. The Evil League of Evil definitely wouldn't be out of place, either.
