That sounds absolutely awesome, though, with Ted. I'd have encouraged him to write it in a different way -- spell out his answers or something.

Well, it was math - it's important to have some sort of running record of what you've been doing - not only for self-reference, but grading as well.

hey marce! i'm stalking you now via your live journal. actually, i just signed onto im today for the first time in forever and clicked on your link. and what a wealth of funny kid stories to behold! "i'm a flower" had me laughing audibly (sorry - i couldn't bring myself to write "laughing out loud"... just seems to cliche) and having to read the passage to my roommates. good times. glad to see you still have that sense of humor and storytelling. :) love caroline
