I'll talk, but only because I feel like it, and not because you asked.

They're not all so bad. Some are a bit daft, close minded and lack an imagination, but they're not all like the northmen.

Were you fond of Brendan?

Do they? I thought-- stupid of me, really.

It's a pleasure to meet you. I didn't think... Well, it's been a while since I've heard from one, you see. I thought they had all forgotten about me.

Yeah well Brendans uncle locked him away and no one is helping him but me so there are only two really good ones.

He's my best friend!

[Aaaand another pause]

Forgotten about you? Who? Us? [SHE'S THE ONLY ONE] I've never met you.

The faeries. I wasn't familiar with too many Irish fae, but I knew the ones back in England so very well.

Adults can be very silly, you know. They don't have the same imagination as children, and they can be horrible close minded.

There's more? [ATTENTION, YOU CAN HAVE IT] I want to see them too! How many more? A lot?

Yeah, that's Brendans uncle. He never goes outside the wall he's building.

There were so many back at home. They used to play around in the kitchen as I baked and they'd always the sugar when I needed it.

[ Now England's drifting off into his wonderland ]

I used to play with them out in the woods, but I've been horrendously busy lately.

I thought you said they were shy? [From what she can remember of her people... not too big on hanging out with humans]

Are you one of us?

They are around humans, but they're quite fond of me. They've always been kind to me, ever since I was a child.

I'm England. Ireland is my stupid brother.

[Kind of like Brendan? Well she won't ask why then~]

Nuh uh! Ireland is way better! [Way to be. She won't even question the fact that you're a personified country. IRELAND IS SO BETTER]

It most certainly is not. Ireland's stupid, stupid, and he has a ridiculous accent.

No way, you have a ridiculous accent and you're at least three times as stupid so there.

[That's right. Argue with the child forest spirit]

... my accent is perfectly normal. It's refined, respectable, and--

whatever it is, it's certainly not ridiculous.

[ HIS FRAGILE FEELINGS ]

Right well, I suppose Ireland isn't so bad; He's certainly not as bad as Scotland. And I'm certainly not changing my opinion just for you, I just had to give him credit where it's due.

Nuh uh.

[SUFFER]

I've never heard of Scotland before. But Ireland is still the very very best.
