I discovered while lurking around another fandom that the geocities site is shutting down soon. I wasn't notified, but that means my old JustVisiting QAF Fanfic site is going bye-bye

my old JustVisiting QAF Fanfic site is going bye-bye.
Wow. ...it just feels so... *sigh*
I remember reading your stories when I first showed up in the fandom, before I even talked to anyone, before I emailed stillife the very first time to rave about how her S4 recaps made me LMAO, I remember reading those fics, some of the very first in that first month in May 2004 when all I was doing was inhaling fic.
And, just FYI, A Matter of Time is one of my all time favorites, every.
Thanks for writing those. They are really special.
I'm a novelist at heart - meaning I don't know when to shut up.
I'm rather amazed now, looking back, that anybody read them when there are no graphic sex scenes in them. It's almost as if people were genuinely interested in the characters! Ya think?
Yikes! Your fics are on geocities, too? I love your fics and only just wish you were still writing. The calibre of fics these days, with some exceptions, of course, leaves MUCH to be desired. As with JV's fics, yours are some of my go-to fics when I'm in the mood to read.
And I mentioned to JV, yours are also asked about and recced a lot on getithere, so *if* you found a new hosting site, your fans would be appreciative, I'm sure. ;)
sydneyalexis posted a fast download option via Firefox if that's the browser you use.
Damn, Morph, I thought you had your own site somewhere else? You should definitely get your stuff up somewhere else. (Why does that sound dirty? Obviously I'm back in QAF mode.)
I'm sure that another site would pick up the fics -- It would only take a small amount of work to move them, unlike my site which was a major headache!
I haven't been writing in the QAF fandom for quite a while, and never will again
Are you sure? You don't have a few post-series fics that just really need to be written rumbling around in your head? ;))
Your fics remain among the ones that I consistently go back to when I'm in a fic reading mood. Thank you so much for writing them! ♥ I'm pretty sure I've already got all yours saved, but I'm going to double-check to make sure.
I know Ethan found a free site to move his fics to after getting lots of pleas to not just take down his work. I think it would be great to move your fics if you can. They get asked about fairly regularly on getithere. I think sydneyalexis said it wasn't shutting down until the end of the year.

Sorry, no. I think my two series have the advantage - and disadvantage - of having been written during the time the show was on, during the hiatuses. I know "Name Your Wish" features a Brian and Justin who wouldn't match up to the later seasons in canon. (I hear some people saying, Thank God.)
I wouldn't know where to go after the season 5 incarnations - I feel like I don't know those people. (And don't particularly want to.)
Thanks for all your kind words, though. You've always said the nicest things about my fic, and I appreciate it.

Seriously, glad you enjoyed them. I certainly had a blast writing them at the time, and inflicting them on others was part of the fun.

I just downloaded them - wow, you were prolific! I'd forgotten how long they were. Not that I'm saying that like it's a bad thing.

And I want to save yours too though I think I did that already - will go and check.
No warning! That sucks.
My gratitude and thanks to all you mentioned also!
