I have no idea what to do

There are two guys that I work with that like me. My best friend and I work together and they are always asking her about me. She told them that is would never work out with me but didn't tell them why because she know's it's not her place to tell them that I'm a lesbian and there is no way I'd date them. One of them asked me what my big secret was ( Read more... )

Hate to say it, but Texas is a very unforgiving place. I'd keep it quiet, but don't go to any extra effort to do so. Basically, ignore it.

Just tell the guys you're not interested in them. *shrugs* I dunno, it seems like the easiest way to go about it. If they ask, tell them that they're not your type.

i think that you can play it off as though you simply are not interested in them. make it clear to them. just like anyone else, if your not intersted in them, you're not going to go out with them.

That is hard to do. I mean I am friends with most people there and I love hanging out with them and It's fun just joking around but I think they take that the wrong way maybe? I act as though one guy would to another I don't know. It sucks.

I think it depends on when you plan on quitting, if not for a while then just be honest about why you aren't attracted to them. Use the word gay though, people react better to it than lesbian. Even though that's what we are. Or talk about your ex girlfriend as if its nothing out of the ordinary, because if you confront people with 'I don't like you because I'm gay' they are more defensive, but if you happening to be talking about boyfriends/girlfriends and you mention your ex, they seem to have a lot less of a problem with it. If you're not going to be there long, then fuck em don't say anything and just let them believe whatever they want to believe.

Whatever you do be careful to know the situation your in and the people around you. You'll get a feeling about who to tell first and who not to talk about it with, until everyone else knows and is cool with it.

Thanks babes. I was thinking about doing that but I didn't know how people would react. And my dad still doesn't know. I really need to tell him but I'm scared to. I want him to find out from me and not from a bunch of kids with loud mouths. Anyways, Thanks Megan.Miss you hon.
