question:
i've been really enjoying meta-style discussions with my lj friends of late, and i can't decide  if i should get a second journal to write essays/reviews of all the crazy tv/movies/musicals/etc i'm exposing myself to. it would also be a place to put fanfic, memes, cool links, that sort of thing. but i'm not sure.

I voted that I'd friend that journal, that you could post it here, and that I like polls. Because I loooove meta stuff, and I'd read yours no matter where you put it (our discussions about Dollhouse in particular have been nice and thinky. I've enjoyed them). Also, I like polls!

psh, icon-making is really easy...it helps if you devote ridiculously large chunks of time to the practice of course.

I've actually somwat made most of the icons that i have, but i've always been further fascinated by icons that move, are animated, or just plain look professionally done. All the things that YOURS are. :) i'm more witty with the phrases than pretty with the pictures/cropping bits. oh well. ;)

i've only gotten three pages of that fic done, and i'm already revamping it, so it's not posted yet or anything. ;) But, i'll let you know when it is. and as for how i'm doing it. well, i saw a series of bts pics from theor filming of series two, and they sorta got me to thinking "What If..." it's all a very G/PG-rated exercise tho, if that might've been wat you were trying to get at. ;)

phrases on icons are REALLY hard to do, i know it took me a while to figure out the kinds of things i wanted to write on my icons. so if you can do that you've actually gotten pretty far!
(and the pictures/cropping is mostly just playing with GIMP/photoshop. there are a few handy tricks you can learn and then you're good.)
