Overheard in Kimball Dorm

Random girl to random guy, in a flirty voice: "Woooowwwww, it looks like your entire room threw up. Good job keeping it clean."

*cracks up* My room is messy, but not quite *that* messy.

(On an unrelated note, I failed the gom jabbar test last night. ;) Luckily it was not a lethal one, but still, no Bene Gesserit sisterhood for me. *tear*

Hahahaha. So, my roomie and I were chatting last night; I was sprawled out on my bed, on my back, with my arms behind my head (so, basically in a completely defenseless position), my roomie was standing beside my bed. She was talking about how her keychain was broken, and reached for my keys (which were on a lanyard around my neck) to demonstrate exactly how. I'd completely forgotten my keys were there, so all I knew was that she was reaching out toward me. I flinched back and wrapped my arms around my stomach, presumably to guard against tickling, I don't know. Anyway, it was a completely instinctual reaction; if I'd been in any other position I would have probably been like "huh? why's she reaching out toward me?" instead of "Nooo! *jumps back*" Anyway, it just made me think about reason vs. instinct, since I know logically that I have nothing to fear from her, but I still responded like that. Basically, I would fail the gom jabbar; I can't control my instincts under pressure
