ithilmenel The stage was dark but that didn't keep Sungmin from smiling to himself as he waited in position for the lights to come up. The adrenaline pumped through his veins even if the first few notes of his music hadn't even played just yet. The few friends that he had outside of this industry didn't quite understand that feeling. They couldn't get how he could find enjoyment in doing this for a living. They didn't understand the sheer joy that he felt moving in time with the music, taking this or that off at just the right point in time for a hungry audience. They never understood that, to Sungmin, this was art. Living, breathing, well paid art in action. An art that could easily get him as well as everyone in this club arrested but it was art nonetheless.
Sungmin's heartbeat picked up, beating double time as the music started and then the lights flickered to life shining bright and hot on him. Knowing that he had every single eye in the place on him brought out his trademark smile. He wasn't dumb. He knew that his body wasn't exactly the best out of all the dancers. He didn't dance nearly as well as Hyukjae did but it didn't seem to matter to his audience. It was that smile and his face that drew them all in more than anything. He knew just how to draw them in and get them to empty their pockets just for him. It was this act that made him one of the more popular dancers both with the clients and his bosses.
He loved the attention that he got, even if most of the clientele weren't exactly those that he found even remotely attractive. He loved to dip down onto the stage right in front of one of the high rollers just to see that reaction to him on their faces. In honesty though, Sungmin really had no problem with the fact that the lights were often blinding causing him to not be able to see anyone beyond those closest to the stage. It made it easier for him to pretend that those hungry eyes he felt heavy on his body belonged to men he'd like to take home with him. Not that it was something that was allowed of any of the workers but most especially none of the dancers. None of them had actually believed that rule carried any weight until Kyuhyun had gotten caught with the tall, lanky Chinaman that had taken to coming in every Friday night. He had honestly been scared for Kyuhyun seeing the eyes of the owner bored into him. The last Sungmin had heard was that he was at least living happily somewhere in Beijing. He was happy for Kyuhyun. He deserved to have that happiness in his life.
Tonight, Sungmin was dressed head to toe in all black. While it all looked so good on him, he was all too happy to remove said clothing on account of the heat. The lights were scorching as it were but the black only made it worse. It was nothing short of relief as each article dropped to the stage floor. With the last few dips, turns and hip thrusts, Sungmin decided then and there that he was going to wear his favorite white number for his next set. White was a good choice. It left him looking angelic, someone that the audience might want to corrupt in very pleasant ways.
Once the lights faded, Sungmin grabbed up the pieces of clothing before stepping off of the stage quickly. He enjoyed every last moment of his performance but right now he wanted to cool off for a few moments. No, he needed a chance to cool off before he wandered around the club. However sometimes plans just didn't pan out like you hoped and these didn't.
One of his managers that almost always looked like he dined on lemons along met Sungmin at the side of the stage. "Dong Yul, back room as soon as you're changed. Make it quick. This one paid extra."
He may have been smiling and moving backstage rather quickly as he had been instructed, but he was far from smiling inside. He just knew it was the big, sweaty one that he just had to have winked at. Why couldn't they get in some better looking clients? Ones that would inspire a guy a bit more than... Sungmin's thoughts broke off as he shuddered thinking about the fate that waited for him in one of their private rooms.
The second he slipped past the curtain, cool air hit him and he nearly forgot that he had someone waiting for him. The air just felt so good on his heated skin that he couldn't keep from closing his eyes and moaning out his pleasure.
"Dong Yul! Now!"
Sungmin jerked and was brought back to the realization that he didn't have the luxury of relaxing a moment. With a sigh, he merely put the black clothing back on. No way was he changing into something else right now when he was probably going to be grinding against the sweaty ape he just had to have flirted with. Sungmin shuddered yet again just thinking about it.
Oh well. He was getting paid handsomely for private dances. The least he could do was give the man the fantasy that he had obviously paid for.
~*~*~*~
When the door was opened for Sungmin, he nearly choked on his own tongue when he saw whom the mystery man was that had paid so well for a dance from him. It wasn't even close to being the big man that he thought would be there. No, this man was big but in all the right kind of ways. He was tall, gorgeous and...expressionless. How could a man looking like this be so cold in appearance? Sungmin was so certain that he would have a gorgeous smile if he would only use it. He made it his mission to get him to give some sort of emotional response before he left. He honestly hoped for a smile just so he could see if he was alright about him having a gorgeous one.
Of course he knew the type though. He knew that they could be rough and ignored the no touching rule. He'd had several bruises in the past from those that thought if they paid just a bit more that they were not only above the rules but could treat the dancers however they liked. One look at those arms and he knew that he could probably break him in half before the guard could come in to help him. Sungmin could generally take care of himself but sometimes he got himself into places where he need a bit of help.
Giving a wary glance back at the guard, Sungmin finally stepped fully into the room feeling every bit off his normal game. Normally he would have at least greeted the man. However this man had clearly thrown him off. He really needed to get back with the program and fast.
After taking a calming breath, Sungmin flashed this gorgeous man a bright smile. "Seems like you're rather good for my ego." The words came out in all but a purr even if on the inside, he was still very much on guard.
"Watching the way that you moved, I knew you were worth every won." There was still no emotion in the words. They were just that, words.
Sungmin wanted to frown because he could tell that was a line that had clearly been rehearsed and lacked real meaning behind it. Still, he was a professional and had become rather good at hiding his true feelings. "So what were you in the mood for? Something fast, a little slow...?" he asked as he moved over to select some music. His eyes flickered over to the man for any kind of facial response. Nothing. It was such a pity he was so good looking but obviously made of ice. He wondered if he would be as cold to Sungmin's touch when he finally did touch him.
The man merely shifted on the couch, "Whatever you'd like. I'm not exactly picky other than it being you with me."
There. There was something about the way that he spoke that Sungmin actually believed him. At least now they were getting to something that wasn't rehearsed beforehand. Something that didn't make him feel as afraid of this man as before.
Sungmin couldn't keep from laughing as he did pick something out. "Whatever I'd like could be a little bit dangerous,” he said before the slow groove of music surrounded them. Sungmin's hips started to move to the music even as he approached the other man. "Are you certain that you can handle that?" he asked looking as coy as his voice portrayed. The way that he saw the man swallow had him feeling more and more confident in his movements. He found that he was very much enjoying dancing for this man to the point that he hoped time would just stand still for a little while.
Squatting down between the man's legs, Sungmin's hands slid down his thighs all while his eyes stayed firmly connected with the other man's. He felt ever much the predator and at the moment he was very, very hungry.
"My...my name..." was all the man got out before Sungmin was quick to reach out a hand to stop him.
"No names." he simply said as that hand was removed. He moved to straddle his lap allowing his hands to slide over a very toned chest. It was enough to almost make Sungmin whimper with want. It should have sent so many warning bells off in his head because he never allowed this to happen. Never. Not once had he ever allowed actual attraction interfere with his job. Sure he was a guy and he found those in the past attractive but he never reacted like this. He couldn't.
"But I know your name." he pretty well breathed out, hands now in firm fists at this side. All remaining bits of fear Sungmin had left him because he knew that he wasn't anything like those types at all. He really had to give it to this guy; he was at least trying rather hard to not come off as affected as Sungmin knew that he was. One shift in his lap and he damn well knew that he was getting to him.
A smirk spread rather quickly over his lips as his hips moved, "Do you? Do you really know my name?" Sungmin's hands slid up to slide into his short hair.
"Dong Yul." he said this time coming out in a moan.
His hands slid back downward before he actually turned his body to have his back resting against that strong chest. Sungmin just couldn't keep from letting out his own moan as he felt his clothed erection pressing against Sungmin's ass. "And you honestly believe that's really my name?" he forced himself to not only chuckle but to actually get some distance. He was still clothed after all and this man had paid to see him up close and personal.
He had pulled his shirt off before he managed to get a reply out of him. "I...now I don't know."
"Should I name you since you're so big on them?" he asked but didn't wait for him to reply back. Sungmin merely looked at him in a thoughtful kind of way as he kept his body moving to the rhythm of the music. "How about Jae Hwa? I think it suits you." Shifting back closer, Sungmin's body lowered until he was able to look him in the eye, "So tell me about you, Jae Hwa." It was pretty clear that there was no room for disagreement. Jae Hwa it was.
Jae Hwa's fist clenched tight once more obviously trying to keep himself in check, "Should we really talk about that since you didn't want us to use names?" he threw back almost breathless.
With a shrug, Sungmin moved into his lap once again. If he was only going to have him for a little while longer, he was going to enjoy himself dammit. It's not like he had chances like this thrown in his face too often. "Then what should we talk about?" Sungmin asked before moving his hands back on Jae Hwa's knees, arching his body just so to put himself completely on display. He could see something going on behind his eyes that left him wondering just what he was going to say next. Sungmin really felt like slapping himself because he was going way off in a direction that he really couldn't go in. He had only known this guy for two minutes. He didn't know his real name, who he actually was or anything. Then there was that pesky rule that he simply couldn't break. He loved his job too much to put it on the line for some guy he didn't even know.
It took a minute to get an actual response out of him since he seemed much too busy taking in Sungmin to actually reply. "Do you think you could introduce me to the owner?"
Sungmin jerked upward at that, looking every bit as surprised and maybe even a little bit hurt by it. All movement stopped as he simply sat there on his lap, "The owner? Why would you want to meet him?"
He had been waiting this whole time to see any trace of emotion on the others face and now that he got it, it wasn't how he wanted it even if it only lasted a second, if that. Sungmin wasn't sure if he was just feeling what he wanted or if it was the actual case that there was regret radiating from Jae Hwa's body. "I had been thinking of opening up my own club. I wanted to see if he could offer a few pointers being as this is one of the last ones to survive this area."
"Oh." Sungmin simply said, forcing himself to start to move once more. This time he stood up from him; his pants were next to go. He was actually a little glad that things had cooled off otherwise things could have gotten a bit awkward then. "He's not here tonight. He's usually only here on Saturday nights when the crowd is a bit bigger. You could come back tomorrow night." he said trying his best not to sound hopeful.
"I co..." Jae Hwa stared but the sound of the door opening caught his attention.
The manager walked through the door with a bit of a smile that just looked odd on his sour face, "Time's up."
Sungmin half wondered if that was the case or if he had actually heard what he was being asked. He got up and started to get dressed all the same, "Nice to meet you." he simply stated before bolting out of the room again. He really needed some fresh air and fast.
