Just converted my entire journal (2001 to present) to an PDF "book" (including all pics and comments) via

Great way to archive, IMO. And it looks hawt (not to mention it makes it easy to search for old entries). Took 15 minutes or so, but well worth it.

It seemed like a nice way to back things up. Between the new Russian buyout of LJ (the company is apparently owned by someone who's friends with Putin, a man not known to embrace freedom of expression), and the various censorship fiascos of the past few months, I wanted to be safe...I've also created an account on InsaneJournal.com (and am working to figure out the software that can be used to mirror my journal here over there).

Call me paranoid, but...
