I had such a really great, unexpected night last night. and didnt get home until 2 am...had to pack for LA and am at work!

Times like these I really love the world.

 Went to Oakland and saw Aaron Ross tuesday. It was pretty amazing. It was at the Stork Club, which is very very divey, but one of my favorite family friends does sound there, and I got to see him, too which was way cool. I witnessed the most stirring and inspirational thing tonight. Its a little hard to put into words. I went to the Victoria theatre on 16th and Mission, and saw Amiri Baraka and Roscoe Mitchell perform. If you haven't heard of them, look them up. Fucking rediculous. Oh how I love silly nights in san francisco. and heart to hearts with tall cans on windowsills of streets i've never walked down.  and laughing more than i think i ever have in my life. and being surrounded by the best people possible. and realizing every day how much i have to offer the world.

Sorry that last update about the "swollen with joy" thing was so creepy. but its totally true. When I wrote that, I had made food for everyone, and there were such good friends at my house that I haven't spent time with in years, some that I just met, and the dynamic was perfect ( Read more... )
