i think she should have the right to live. i dont think i would want to stay alive though if i was like that though, unless there was a chance of me improving.

she's been a vegetable for 15 years

and is it really living to not have the ability to move or comprehend anything thats going on around you?

how are you to say that she isnt able to comprehend whats going on around her, do you remember the girl that came out of a worse state then Schiavo who was well aware of everything that was said, including the pain she went through when the feeding tube was removed for 8 days or something like that, and when she suddenly came out of the vegetable state, she called her mom and asked for some makeup and was able to remember what went on around her.

they should let her die, 15 years is a long time to be a veggie, its got to cost a lot and its got to be hard for her husband. let her die, it sounds bad but if i was like that id want to die too

wow, that was totally not the reaction i was expecting. but i agree. a lot of conservatives (you'd be surprised), think that this has to do with the sanctity of life issue.

i really dont think this should come down to politics. this woman has been on life support for 15 years, thats redicilous! my grandma had cancer and got taken off of it because she knew she was going to die anyways, why prolong it? she wanted to go see jesus

I dont let the fact that im a republican or conservative make my decisions for me. i look at the subject and decide for myself. most, but not all of the time, its conservative

just free her soul

She said she wanted to be let go. And if there is nothing they can do to treat her. Why make her just sit there all day and be uncontrollable of her self and dependent?

If and ONLY if there is no way to get her to improve. I think they should let her go.

And it's sick how even though her husband is just trying to grant her wishes, her family is playing him like a monster.

i agree that politicans are using this poor woman's situation. i think it is sad and i think her husband has the right to make the decision after all these years. i don't think anyone would want to go on "living" like she is.

ironic, because my mom is watching it on tv right now.
i think they should just let her die.
even if she eventually is able to survive on her own, which more than likely wont happen, she wont have a good life.
