we have these string lights outside of our house that glow pretty reds and blues and greens. when you turn them off they don't completely go out but turn into these tiny dim specks. they were like tiny stars
it was enchanted.

this reminds me of the christmas lights i used to hang inside of my rooms on campus. i kept them up year round. they helped me sleep, made my life feel warm there. maybe that's what my apartment is missing.
