I should have known better than to try and say something with actual thought behind it on the poto.com forum. It's just that I finally read Phantom by Susan Kay and I saw something someone wrote about it there and I wanted to reply. Here is what I said:

I think people freak because saying anything negative about their beloved squishable Erik is like... a parent trying to criticize a teenager's boyfriend.

It's crazy how defensive those girls get over this character. In the responses I got they were trying to place blame on everyone BUT Erik... they even tried to blame the daroga
