Back in black
There was this one time Harper dyed his hair black.
It was a spur-of-the-moment thing, one that he knew he’d probably regret but did anyway - life’s too short not to try a crazy style once.
His hair was untamed territory in itself, and he had never really bothered to fix it -his vanity didn’t cover combing his hair more than once a day. He was far more obsessed about whether he’ll look good wearing pink. So, when he found himself one day in the personal hygiene section of a drugstore, looking at racks of hair dyes out of boredom (he was only there for the Strepsils and gum), he didn’t waste a minute contemplating about the pros and cons of changing hair color. He just grabbed a box of black dye (one that was labeled Nightshade - he never really got why hair dye companies wouldn’t just call black black and have to come up with ridiculous names for the color). Why not? God knows his life needed the excitement anyway.
Long story short: he ended up staining one of his shirts and his bathroom sink, and all he had to show for the effort was inky black hair that was still unruly and unappealing, but now smelled like a chemistry lab. Girls still didn’t flock to his feet (he expected one or two - there’s nothing wrong with hoping, you know), and he was called emo at school more times than he was called a loser (and that’s saying something considering he didn’t even have side bangs and guyliner!)
Ah, life.
This didn’t stop him from thinking about trying to go blonde next, though.

Yes, the wig is Val's (at this point I have to call that wig The One Everybody Else Has Worn because every one of my crew has tried it on).
I just wanted to see how Harp would look like in a black wig. Answer: not spectacularly handsome, still the same dorky boy-next-door (I'll admit...he looks a bit like a wannabe rockstar with it, but you know, still Harper. I was expecting he'd morph into, I don't know, The Goddamn Awesome God of Rock n Roll. Black hair does not equate to sudden awesomeness). I love him regardless.♥
