Food talk, anyone?
Mom had just prepared cream of mushroom soup, which is great for cold autumn afternoons. It's one of my favorite soups, along with Chinese corn soup.
I remember having a great corn soup over a Chinese restaurant a long time ago. The design of the restaurant made you feel like you were in a movie; a traditional Asian garden with a false river and bridge, lots of trees and flowers all around... I think the wallpaper inside was bordeaux-colored with gold pattern.
My favorite ramen dish is Sakura's Curry Udon with tofu. Tasty AND healthy, 2in1, OMG.
The awesome ramen from Sakura
Always be careful and wait for the soup to cool down, otherwise you may get burnt and that's not fun. Don't blow on it. Stirring is okay. [THE ETIQUETTE CORNER]
Last night, after the con, Saigen and part of the PW cast had a nice dinner in a "restaurant" called Shelley, that has pastas, salads, toasts etc. I ordered my favorite Ravioli- cheese-filled, with tomato and cream sauce. It filled me up! Their salad dish is HUGE! I'm glad I ordered just the ravioli and not a whole "business meal", because it was enough for me.
Then when we got back to Azrieli I bought my usual coffee ice blend from Roladin [nope, no Coffee Bean for me], this time it tasted more like iced coffee than ice blend, maybe because it's made with ice cream machine [I know this fact from the owners of Roladin I met last month]. Sadly they keep on lifting the prices of almost anything, but it's luxury so I can't really rant over it. Good thing I still have my job so I can pay by myself on these stuff.
I try my best not to eat junk food, at least not that much. It makes me feel much better not touching cookies, french fries or chocolate bars. If I'd want to eat a pizza, then Agvania would be the best answer. Their pizza is the best. A few days ago Dad baked a pizza that doesn't even have cheese! I know he used eggs and so it looked a bit more like a casserole than a pizza [technically it kinda *is* a casserole but it's also a pizza, sophisticated!], but its taste was just like a "normal" pizza but it was much better than such. Quite special. I guess my dad has a talent for inventing cool stuff.
I used to eat Cheetos with cream cheese ever since I was two years old. A while ago I stopped eating Cheetos as much as I used to, since it's not that healthy, and moved to Bamba. Everyone likes Bamba but it never really gets the credit it deserves. It's fun eating it but lately I heard it has some really non-healthy ingredients, so maybe the best thing to do is not eat anything and die not touch junk food and snacks since they don't have any nutritional value.
Kelloggs' Special K is what I eat every morning [not the carton, Ikis, but the cornflakes inside it ¬_¬]. Back then I liked Nestle's Crunch and SquaDus' favorite - Kariot, but I stopped having those because THEY'RE JUST NOT HEALTHY. They're not so tasty, either.
Kariot, compared to tons of other snacks - "100 grams of Kariot and the amount of candies one can eat in the same amount of calories"
I'm not saying I don't let myself eat ANY sweets or fried potatoes, but I think my life is much healthier than most of the teens these days. I don't drink coke, soda or any soft drink, no alcohol, no cigarettes [I hate seeing kids smoking, they're just stupid posers], no gum snacks [the colored ones that come in various shapes like snakes, eggs, or just long colorful straps]. Thinking about any of those make me feel disgust. It's just like poisoning your body.
I love eating but I hate it when it sometimes turns into a task.
A few more little facts & stuff:
Burekas is great, but it's such a shame when it crumbles when you have the first bite and so only half of it is left.
Strauss' Magnum is my favorite popsicle brand! [I think it's a local brand, right?]
Here's how to stop eating doughnuts/sufganiot, too bad these days there are some cool flavors.
I'm a veg [SquaDus: "DUH?!"].
I was kinda addicted to Shinto's [Japanese bar with just one branch in Azrieli] noodles for almost two years but eventually I decided it's not so tasty so I stopped buying noodles, except for yesterday when we bought noodles at Lemon Grass [another Asian bar] but they were quite bad too, and the price was outrageous for this type of food [38NIS?! Shinto sells this s*** for 30, and the box size is even bigger!]. This was my first and the last time buying food from them. It made me feel bad thinking I could eat a decent meal at Sakura by adding only 7NIS more. You know what they say; "Never change a winning horse".
Magnum = <3
That's all for now, folks. It took me a while to write this, and it was quite fun. :D
