Infection? Or flu?

I am a slower version of Kira but still leave a green slimy trail of mucus as I trudge on... It ain't easy being green.. And mucusy.
Doctor told me yesterday not to take the antibiotics unless things got worse....

Green usually signifies infection. I would take the damn things if it were me.

It's apparently kind of a myth that green mucus is a sign of a bacterial infection needing antibiotics:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000647.htm

Googling around seems to indicate that the green mucus is only likely to flag a bacterial infection if it last for more than a week or if it accompanies a worsening of symptoms after you seemed to be getting better.
