Well all this "I've saved THIS much money" posts are very handy for I'm going to have to quit very soon and it's nice to see how much I could be saving (only to spend it on booze no doubt, but hey!)

I'm up to £96.53 in just over four weeks. And fairly certain I've cracked it.

Yes - I feel like I have cracked it this time. I had the classic thing of going to a pub on Friday night and being choked and repulsed by the smoke rather than deeply, painfully envious of smokers.

However, I am DETERMINED not to become a pious ex-smoker.

There was rather a good cartoon in the Observer a little while ago showing two men talking about the horrible goo in your arteries from smoking as per the ad, only to zoom out and show them eating great big piles of chips and burgers.

That was only relevant to the drinking bit, sorry.

I always found hearing about other people giving up v depressing, but then I suppose that is how it gets you in the end!
