getting quotes from 6 people in one day and writing two newspaper articles... one of which was difficult to make short enough, the other difficult to make long enough... and writing a speech on notecards and practicing it while fitting in classes and food and leisure (what leisure?) is not fun. no, not fun at all ( Read more... )

I love you jEni! :P ---Hope to see you again thursday. P.S. you crack me up! (haha-- I was wondering why you were running late to class or at least later than usual) :) DO you have to do an informative and a persuasive speech?...i only have to do two persuasive for some reason and no informative...and of course demonstrative (done) and impromptu..and group (done..and dumb :P ) Good Night Jeni! :)

hehe. yeah, i didn't even get to eat anything yesterday morning and i woke up at 8. yeah, i have this info. speech and then the next/last one is persuasive. i only have 3. i think i'd rather do a info. than 2 persuasive... but i just can't seem to make my speeches short enough. i want to be thoroughly informative if i have to be at all! it makes it very awkward. haha i like the "done and dumb." i actually got out of class earlier than yours tuesday, because we were just going over a test we had taken. i got another 92. but yep, see you thursday morning maybe.

that is weird that you went to college parties after you left.
i don't really hate it. i don't have strong feelings for or against. my classes are fine. i didn't expect them to be any different. i didn't really expect the people to be any different either, i guess. i can't expect them to make college good for me. i'd have to do that. but like i said... mainly just looking at it as a working situation.

in my experience, college parties are hard to find because they're either frat parties (which invite everyone and i don't go to because our frats here are nasty) and friend parties (which didn't happen within my friend group until we go together as a group). i'm also considering the peace corps. i'm just worried about getting stationed somewhere where it would prohibit my donating blood.

yeah.. i've pretty much given up on them.
i don't know if you should sacrifice your personal travelling experience in order to give blood. i wouldn't, but i really want to travel everywhere without worrying about things like that. there are a lot of people in america who don't go anywhere and don't have diseases and can give blood... i'm sure losing one... and especially losing one through the peace corps won't be a significant hit to the blood amount. but if you value that ability very highly, then that's that.
