Second Life

I have started playing Second Life recently. It's maybe been 5 days now. Its the 1st Massively Multiplayer Online thing I've ever done. If you are not familiar with Second Life, I guess you would describe it as a virtual reality/3D chat room/toybox. Damn -- why do I find this so trippy? I actually think it'd be cool if you posted regular updates w/ screenshots about this. The idea of this virtual world is really interesting, and the game-within-a-game part is a mindbender. The tea party pic is kind of funny. That buff mustachioed guy looks like quite a character.

Yeah, it can be a little strange, I think, depending on what you choose to do. Like Real Life, it can be pretty boring unless you get up and get out there and make your own fun, it's just not handed to you in an obvious way. Then there are the stories of married people and what happens when a spouse gets married to someone in Second Life and gets discovered, and funny situations of that nature. You have theaters where they stream movies (pretty bad quality, but passable), so of course you have places that rent porn you can play on a TV you buy in game, or I even saw Sin City playing somewhere. I don't know all of the details on how that works legally. So far everyone I have met in Second Life has been very friendly, but I caught the slightest glimpse of drama at the 1st place I hung out at, one of those deals like on IRC, where someone thought I was someone else come back to mess with them. I will definitely update with any coolness I see happening. And screenshots, its no fun without screenshots!

Yeah, there's just a special something about having those screenshots -- they really do add something. I dunno what it is. Anyway, I've been hearing about this game here and there and it's nice to get a little more in the way of specifics. I hadn't of course gotten around to actually checking it out on my own, and it's pretty interesting stuff.
