Character Name: Vivienne Noble, though most of her close friends just call her Vee.

Vivienne has a Shooting Star given to her from one of her aunts however; she is a pretty pathetic flier and avoids using it if people will be watching.
Describe your character’s strengths (both magically and personality-wise. Please note that Animagi and Metamorphmagi, etc. are extremely rare and you MUST have Mod Permission.):
Magically:
Her best school subjects are Charms and Transfiguration; she also has a passing interest in Care for Magical Creatures as well but only when it’s from far away. She is a decent student with decent grades, but that’s really nothing special compared to other Ravenclaws.
Personality-wise:
She’s pretty quick at picking apart arguments or finding a loophole to a rule. Of course, this isn’t always a strength of hers since sometimes it can annoy people. Vivienne is polite to all of her acquaintances and only really nice to her close friends. She’d walk the extra mile for them if it were needed.
Describe your character’s flaws/weaknesses:
Vivienne is an opinionated, and mostly independent person but honestly, she can get a little clingy when things just aren’t going the right way. She also hates being on the losing end of an argument. Academic-wise she’s prone to reoccurring lapses of procrastination. Although she is a hard worker and loves to learn, completing assignments on time, all the time can become a little tiresome for her. Out of all her classes, Herbology is possibly her worst one. She hates touching the soil and being anywhere near screaming, vomiting, mucus covered plants. Likewise, Potions and its sometimes-nasty ingredients cause her grief (though she honestly loves the subject).

Vivienne has long, honey brown hair that she usually prefers to wear loose and matching brown eyes. She’s slender and at average height for her age (though sometimes she wishes she were a little bit taller). When they aren’t required to wear uniforms she prefers to wear comfortable loose shirts or skirts even. She’s quite fond of the colour orange so she has quite a few clothing in that shade.

Is your character Muggle born, a half breed, or a pureblood? Explain it.
Although both her parents and grandparents were wizards, the Noble family aren’t pureblood. Her great grandfather was a muggleborn wizard whereas her great grandmother on her mother’s side was a regular muggle. She would be what you would label as half-blood.
Character Background/History:
Vivienne is an only child, and like most other only children, she can be rather spoiled at times. She’s gotten better since her first year though, she was a royal brat back then. The Noble family, while not completely pureblood or explicitly known in the Wizarding community, are extremely well off. Her father, Edward Noble is an experienced investment broker; just a few years prior to Vivienne’s birth he had played his cards right and made quite a fortune on some wizarding stocks. Surprisingly, he kept playing the right cards and their assets just kept increasing. Now, Edward has retired from most of his financial ventures though he still offers to invest in potential budding businesses.
Prior to her education at Hogwarts; her elderly aunt at home taught her. Her mother was originally her tutor, but with Vivienne’s tendency to slack off it became apparent that a stricter governess (one that wouldn’t fall for Vivienne’s puppy dog eyes) would be needed. She learned pretty fast with her new tutor, though, that could honestly be because she was a little intimidated by her stern aunt. Within the Noble mansion, she grew up without much contact with other children her age, which made her awkward in her first year at Hogwarts and very lonely. With some new friends in her second year however, she slowly adapted to becoming more independent and less reliant on her parents. She currently attends her fourth year at the school.

“Okay, you can do this Vee, I know you can.” Vivienne spoke out loud to herself, not caring if the student behind her would hear. She was presently absorbed in a much more distressing matter. Cutting up Blitzen Beetles. It was her fifth attempt at brewing this particular potion and it was rather embarrassing; however if this wound up as another failure then she was going to be in trouble. It wasn’t a hard potion, no; in fact it was pathetically easy. All she had to do was dump all the ingredients into the cauldron, stir 5 times counter-clockwise and wait for the liquid to turn green. Yep, very easy, except hers always turned a muted yellow because she could never seem to gut the large beetles correctly.
Why couldn’t Potion ingredients come packaged and ready for use - all gutted and dry? Then Vivienne wouldn’t be repeating the same steps over and over or would she feel nausea for the fifth time when she sliced the heads off from the insects. Thank Merlin they were already dead; though it was beyond her as to why they were still all so damn juicy.
“Ugh! No!” She shook her head, she did not just think the beetles were juicy. Blitzen Beetles were not juicy. No, the way the bodies just oozed out the clear jelly liquid, and positively splurted apart when she pulled out their insides with a tweezer was absolutely disgusting. And of course, all this just had to be done by hand.
One beetle down, now there were just eight more to go.
