the whole section with her and steph is so bittersweet but you still bring out the friendship between girls well. then you go on to how cass feels about the whole thing which must have hit her hard and refusing alferd's offer (ALFRED, BEST DAD) bc she needed to go it alone is perfect. you're last two-three paragraphs really are just ;_____; cass i just want to hug you. (hugs for all the batgirls)

I kept wondering if I was making Bruce too much of a jerk. But then I would remember that part where he boasted to Alfred about how Cass "did exactly as he told her to do," and I decided that nope, he really was that much of a jerk.

Oh, I'm so glad that their friendship came across well. Because Stephanie is her best friend! But she's also the person who's taken away what Cass must feel is her identity, and as;fkjg just leave me here to drown in my feelings about Batgirls. ;____;

Oh my gosh, thank you! And yes, the way that we NEVER saw anything about how Cass felt upon giving the Batgirl mantle to Stephanie always angered me. Not only that, but her isolation from her family and home after she's moved to Hong Kong! What informs her personal transformation into Black Bat! Everything is just glossed over because I guess she isn't deemed important enough to have feelings or get any kind of emotional closure. Why are you the way you are, DC.

First because that doesn't make sense since Bruce is an ass to Steph and kinda hates her, second Cass is her best friend and loves her so it makes sense that out of everyone she would choose Stephanie, and third AND MOST IMPORTANT is this: Cass is Batgirl. It is her cowl, her identity, and her legacy to pass down- no one else's. So basically FUCK YOU DC

Batgirl shows her difficulties acclimating to English for YEARS and now you're randomly going to ship her off to another country where she will not know the local language.
