I have been completely enthralled with something I had no clue even existed before S and I went on a whim to go see Luc Besson's Banlieue 13 last weekend. Banlieue 13 is a film set in the (extreme) ghettos of Paris in 2010 about an undercover cop and ex-thug trying to infiltrate a gang in order to defuse a neutron bomb.

I saw a Yamakasi doco a while ago here and was utterly amazed at what had sprung out of such a particular environment and how they coped - only to find similar things popping up in other areas.. the difference between the "projects" style groups around the buildings and the guys that flipped and hopped around in the woods.... both so beautiful though...
