Sleep is over rated

When there are so many choices of tours, how do you know which is the right one for you? Well, let us begin at the basics shall we?

The original plan was to go backpacking through a foreign country relying solely on our wits and mastery of map reading. Since Italy is where we decided upon and the concept of actually using our wits unattractive, Simply Italy would seem a reasonable choice. However, there is the price to consider which tops $2,660, and also, the thought of traveling Italy within the confines of a tour group seems to depress me.

Then there's the Mediterranean Highlights, a rather attractive idea, never even considered going to Monaco, but now that you mention it I think it would be interesting. I'll get to take my corny picture with the leaning tower of Pisa, and also go to france which I wasn't able to do over spring break. But the tour seems packed with religious connotations with visits to all these papacy places. Definitely a con unless we want to learn more about Catholicism.

Finally, there's the London, Paris, & Rome Getaway. I won't get a nifty picture with the leaning tower and I've already been to london and Paris, not quite extensively, but I've been. The attractive part for me here is that it seems we are given plenty of time and opportunities to go about on our own business without interference with group loyalties and such.

So what do we do? Let us discuss with our parents, perhaps on the 16th as we are driving to Berkeley to go meet our fates? My mother would probably disagree with all three choices arguing that I'm too soft and easily flattened and there is no way I'll learn to be an aggressive force. Plus I've already been to so many of these places she'll not want to spend the money. La sigh.
