Why am I thinking about this before 6 am?

I really don't mean this to sound narcissistic, but it's really a depressing thought to think that the world would go on, unchanged, if you were no longer in it. Isn't it?

Yes it is depressing. I also think it's impossible unless maybe you never had any contact with anyone ever.

It just seems sometimes like nobody notices that my dad is gone and they just expect me to get the hell over it. It's aggravating.

I don't think that says anything about you or your dad but more about that person. Maybe they are uncomfortable with grief or don't want to see you sad. I dunno but I would think it would be aggravating too.

An example...I have a friend...her name is Lynette. Her husband died of cancer just over a year ago. Many of the people that were there to support her during his last days disappeared once he was gone. They didn't 'know' what to say or what to do...
Nobody want's you to 'get over it'... Everybody wants you to get through it and be okay honey. I know you hurt..but look at the positive. He was going to go young and you finally got to have a good relationship with him. You two got to spend some real time with each other before it happened.
Dwell on the good memories...not the loss, I guess...
I love you Sara
