I don't really think there is anything wrong with practicing a spiritual religion (wicca, pagan, whatever), while following the philosophies of LaVey Satanism... to an extent, anyway. LaVey Satanism, in my mind, isn't really a religion, just a basis for a moral outline, for life. Religon is a spiritual matter, and LaVey Satanism is more philosophy, than it is anything else. It'll take care of your mind, if you feel you have a spirit that needs caring for, find something else that satisfies that.
Really the only contradiction in doing so, is that LaVey very strongly believed in there not being anything in the afterlife to praise. So you'd be going against his "there are no gods" philosophy.
But hey, I think it makes more sense to take what you want from religions, and what you believe. If you agree with many of his points of view, but still believe there are religious deitys, there's nothing wrong with that. It's like doing a spin-off, and making your own religion.

i agree with the points you stated on laVey satanism and as you also stated that in there not being anything in the afterlife to praise, would be the only real contradiction.

"It's like doing a spin-off, and making your own religion."- that is exactly what i am doing

as far as laVey satanism being more of a philosophy than anything else rather than a religion, true. but all religions are just theories, because they aren't based on fact but faith. so that would make each religion a philosophy. believing that there is no after life is still a belief without evidence. its not a fact.
