Yay!

I'm back! Well, sort of. I've just plugged my laptop into my roommate's phone jack, and, er, my internet works. So it turns out that my POS computer is not so POS-y after all. *pats Toshiba ( Read more... )

Yay! When's that come back on, anyway? I'm thinking about keeping my crap job only for the nighttime, which means I'll miss American Idol, but I'm also considering just quitting so I'll have every evening off. Hmm, what to do? Anyway, I missed you! :D

Hi! No, I've never read that book -- could never get into the first Discworld book, so I never tried anything else by whats-his-face. Pratchett, that's it. Anyway, I've heard it's great.

Um, I AM thinking of the right book, aren't I? Er...

(And thanks! I missed you!)

Actually Good Omens is written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, and it's totally separate from the Discworld series (which admittedly, I'm not that much into either... But it could have been the mood I was in at the time. I'll have to re-read them again.). The book's two main characters Aziraphale (an angel who sells second-hand books, and whose fashion-sense is stuck in the 1950's) and Crowley (a demon who actually *likes* humans, drives a 1926 black Bentley, and loves terrorising his houseplants) are like, a warped version of Sirius and Remus, in my opinion. I *love* Aziraphale and Crowley. Particularly when they're paired together in fanfic. ;) And Aziraphale is like, the definition of GAY. Hell, even the *book* says he is:

'Many people, meeting Aziraphale for the first time, formed three impressions: that he was English, that he was intelligent, and that he was gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide.'

Haha! :D

Yay! I'm so happy for you that everything worked itself out, after all, and so glad that you're back. *hugs, hugs, and many more hugs*

Did you get my card, btw? I tried to reach you but it didn't work out, sadly.

*hugs back a thousand times* Thank you so much! Yes, I did get your card -- sorry I haven't sent anything back yet -- I have more than a card planned, so expect a package soon! :D

And the phone thing -- I'm not sure how cell service works with out-of-country, but that's the bestest way to reach me. Do you have text messaging? Or even on my userpage, there's that "send a message to phone" thingy that I have hooked up to. It worked when spacedye_vest sent me something, and she lives in South America, so I'm sure it'll work if you use it (and it's free of course.) Anyway, I'll be happy to give you my cell number if you ever wanted to call it. And I could call you if you want! Yay, French accent! I bet you sound so cool!

You're back!

I'm very happy for you that your RL situation worked out. It sounded so bad a while ago, I'm glad to hear that things are back on track now (or will soon be). :)

Thank you! I still never sent you those pics, right? Sending them right after I reply to the rest of the messages on this post. :D Sorry it took so freakin long, and thank you for the niceness!

No, thank you to YOU! :) I can see that delicious e-mail sitting in my inbox, waving at me, full of wonderful promises... the only downside is that my e-mail is acting up at the moment and doesn't let me open it! (It's definitely not your fault, it's been doing that all week.) It's driving me crazy. I'm telling myself to be patient - but more squeeing will undoubtedly follow once I got to actually see it!
