Wolves deserve protection too

Today on NPR I heard that the wolf is being taken off the endangered species list in the U.S. Rocky mountains...AND a hunting season on them will be opened. Does this not make sense to anyone else ( Read more... )

Ugh, that's horrible. I didn't see that they had been taken off the list, and I hadn't heard about having a hunting season for them!! D: I personally love wolves. I also live in WY, and while I have never seen a wolf, I have seen multitudes of elk. Apparently we have too many elk right now, certainly no to many!! So that especially pisses me off! :/

when i was in the bio department at nmu, i remember hearing somewhere that since wolf populations are up, maybe there will be a wolf hunting season in 10+ years in michigan. i agree. wft.
