I post long blog articles on complex subjects and get a few comments, if any. I post a couple of t-shirt designs from 10+ years ago and I get dozens of comments. Clearly I missed a career vocation there.

It's normally easier to comment on the relatively trivial than on the profound.

And bear in mind that commenting at all requires more engagement than just clicking the Like button does.
