You're right, this isn't a proper winter. The only snow we've had was back in November, mostly it's just been dark because of the thick cloud. The cloud and damp has made everyone miserable.

But the snowdrops are in flower and we have to hope spring isn't far away.

Your winter sounds really nasty. Must be difficult nt for human but for wild animals.

Thank you! Actually, it was just that improper kind of winter I was complaining about, not winter itself. It is better to have snow and lower temperatures than this mess.
And as I supposed, the snow from yesterday is disappearing and instead of it, there are puddles, lots of mud and everything wet.
Wild animals think likwise, I believe.:-)

Well, it is even more awful today because the snow is melting and there is mud and puddles everywhere. Very unpleasant. The temperature is above zero and they promise around 7-8°C. Another kind of craziness.
I have to go out every day to keep Rocky happy but we all hate getting soaked and the mud everywhere...

Sunny days would be a precious gift...
In the meantime, all the snow is gone. You can imagine the mess.
