This terryfying thing is here but it is nothing in comarison with what is going on in UK. I am really worried! How are you doing, my friends there, are you all right?
The worst we had was a (very short) thunderstorm, but it took out our phone line so we didn't have internet - and it was five days before we could get an engineer - and then it turned out that the two-flashes-of-lightning storm had fried our router. Janet collected the one from my house till we were sent a new one. And then two days later we had no electricity for a day because of routine maintenance on the phone line...
But weatherwise we've had very few problems. A little wind, a little snow... but I'll be glad when we're getting daylight before 6am. I don't like the dark winter nights!

And yes, I am also glad to have longer days, I hate those dark long nights.:-)
