Hi!

I have been at home for almost two weeks recovering from gallbladder surgery. Once it wasn't hurting so bad I've rather enjoyed it. Binged the 8 Harry Potter movies and now The Closer. I've seen a lot of those before but why not? Also keeping up with The Great British Baking Show and Endeavour.

My son is back today from his father's for the ( Read more... )

Cholecystectomy? Ouch. Was it open or did they use a laparoscope? Open, probably, if they gave you Percocet.

You're in the right age group for it. That doesn't help, does it? I hope you continue to heal up nicely.

School starts Monday? Egad. I am so oblivious to the school year now. Going by the parking situation on my street, the Catholic HS started back this week. Public school doesn't start until the middle of the month, I think.

I've watched a season of TGBBS, via my library's streaming service. They claim it was the first but I think it was really the fourth. I watched a little bit of Endeavor--maybe two or three episodes. Honestly, it was kind of on the dark side. I prefer watching people bake stuff I've never heard of, let alone baked or eaten.

It's good to see you posting.

Laproscopic, but apparently the old GB was in worse shape than they had reckoned on. They kept me overnight in the hospital, where I merrily threw up every 30 minutes or so. I went home with a drain tube (yuk) which was taken out after 3 days. Then all went swimmingly.

I adore TGBBS and have watched all the available seasons I've found. The numbers are wrong because they aired in different orders here and over there. This may be the last of the real ones I'm on now...show was bought out, they fired Mel and Sue and Mary Berry quit in protest. Good Lord can't the powers that be leave anything alone?!?

Endeavour is dark, but because I watched (and read) all of Inspector Morse (who Endeavour grows up to be) and watched Lewis as well, I know where it all goes. It's interesting to see hints of how he became who he did.
