today was graduation. it was alright, but it was so fucking hot. it was worse than the kitchen at calientes. anyway, its finally done with and another nightmare of my life has ended only for a new one to begin. this coming sat and sunday my band has 3 gigs to play: 1 on sat, and 2 on sunday, should be lots of fun. i have to work monday-friday 5-10

let me answer this simply: 20,000 men of the U.S. 82nd and 101st and British 6th Airborne divisions began landing well behind German lines. They went to their destinations in 1,200 transport aircraft and 700 gliders. 5,000 ships began unloading the first contingent of 170,000 men for the actual land invasion on normandy beaches. at least 2,400 americans were killed in the initial land invasion along with thousands of other casualities.
