Summary: Kyuhyun? Kyuhyun is both fire and ice.
Kyuhyun? Kyuhyun is both fire and ice, Sungmin thinks as he glances at the said man beside him.
“Sungmin hyung? He’s not only a hyung to me.”
Fire that warms and illuminates the desolate cold in him, fire that dances merrily in the dark of his gloom. Fire that gives him hope with its shimmering radiant glow. Fire that often becomes too smoldering and makes him unable to breathe, the ends of the flames tickling his desire and longing. Fire that sometimes burns him and he feels like he can’t contain the want anymore and it hurts.
“He’s a friend and a brother.”
But Kyuhyun is also ice. Ice that soothes him at his wounds, ice that comforts his pain and makes them all better. Ice that preserves him from harm and spoil. Ice that often becomes too cold and makes him tremble and shake, freezing his tear tracks as he feels lonelier than ever. Ice that bites at his skin and the unconsciously painful remarks sting at him like frostbites.
And I, Sungmin concludes, am the vulnerable ever flowing water that Kyuhyun both boils and freezes, and he can’t find neither right nor wrong in that.
