Wow, that was really a great update. I love how Ellie doesn't really tell him anything, but helps him come to the correct answer, let's him sort of figure it all out in his head. I certainly works better for Jack to really understand what Ennis is thinking. I just love this story and look forward to the next chapter. I wonder how Jack will communicate all this to Ennis? Great!!!
Thanks, Holly, and especially for noticing that Jack wasn't told what to do, but was merely given other alternatives to consider. I don't have any kids, but I've watched my husband over the years with his daughter and he has always taken great pains to offer advice only when asked, and even then, never tell her what she should do, just offer choices as to what she could do. The decisions have been hers. My mother, on the other hand, is and always has been ready willing and able to tell me what to do, and then make her disappointment clear if I choose my own path. Sometimes it has gotten to the point that I've done things I didn't really want to do, just because what I did want to do was what she was telling me I should do

Sorry it took so long. RL was being a bit annoying, but mostly I had a really hard time getting my thoughts into words. Not sure that I totally succeeded, but it was time to get'r done! :-)
Poor Jack, he thinks Ennis doesn't think he is doing it right? Oh those two have to talk! They gotta start talking REAL seriously about their life together including SEX.
The idea that Jack thinks Ennis thinks he has to feel like a man so he lets him fuck him
those TWO. I should lock em in a room together and tell them they aren't coming out until they get this thing settled
Jack's insecurities have been building for months now, and 'failing' to please Ennis just made them worse. On some level he is expecting another rejection because that's what he's known all his life. Not to mention that Ennis has proven that he is capable

This was a wonderful chapter. Ellie is a good woman, and she is very fond of Jack. She's doing for him what she wouldn't think of doing for any other man, except Ennis. She wants Jack and Ennis to be happy and she'll do anything she can to make sure they are.
I'm off to read the next part now. I'm looking forward to it. : ) Debra
Ellie has a weak spot for Jack, that's for sure, but she also feels she is repaying a very large debt. While she had not lost her heart completely to the life she ended up leading, when Jack came along, willing to help and asking nothing in return, he gave her back a lot of her faith that she had lost. Others have helped her before, but there were always strings attached. Not necessarily bad strings, but still strings. Jack gave with no strings and that got to her. She sees a hope for Jack and Ennis, but also sees the hardships they will face throughout their lives just for daring to love each other. The unfairness of it all is something to which she can relate, and by helping them get together, she's also gets to thumb her nose at those who have been looking down on her as being a lesser person. She's no saint, but she does have a very deep sense of loyalty.
