Last weekend, I went to the MIT Great Glass Pumpkin Patch early (for a change). I arrived at about 10:05 and waited in line for a little while, and with about 200 or so people in front of me, we were all let in pretty quickly to scour the patch.
What a difference a few hours makes. In the past, I'd gotten there at noon or 1 pm and there would be nice pumpkins of a moderate to high price range. But this time, I found two pumpkins that, together, cost me less than last year's single pumpkin purchase.
And I'd like to introduce you to them now:
First up: Julianne.
Much like the lovely and talented Julianne Moore, she is a gorgeous redhead with a little twist.
Up now, is Julianne's garden buddy, Haemo.
So named, because he looks like he's a rush of blood through your veins, with the dark red coursing through it.
Julianne and Haemo settled in quickly with the rest of the family.
Top row, L-R: Two-Face (aka Darth Fader) (2004), Captain Jack (O'Lantern) (2007), Disco (aka OZ) (2006). Bottom row L-R: Haemo (2008), Miasma (2005), Julianne (2008).
