I bought my annual Birthday Gift to Me today. Replacement manual SLR camera kit, off of Ebay for next to NOTHING. Includes lenses, filters, flashes, and bag.

Even if it needs servicing (and I'm sure it will), I will still have saved a ton of money off of a new one.

And, as a double special bonus, Kells Bells has offered up her old darkroom equipment

There is *nothing* like a manual film SLR camera. Go you. Mine works OK, but it really needs a tune up (after 25 or so years....go figure.) It's a total cliche, but we should hit Mt Aubrun Cemetary and snap a ton of BW shots.

That sounds like a lovely plan - I've actually never been to Mt. Auburn, if you can believe that.

When the camera arrives, I'll have to find someone to give it a once-over, and then...up up and away!
