This is still, and always shall be, my favorite part:

She remembered promising to be good, certain that her tendency to leave her toys on the stairwell had somehow precipitated the situation - a notion that seemed confirmed when Keith pulled through a day after she made her bargain.

Three weeks later she’d broken her mother’s good lamp and been inconsolable, believing that her failure would make daddy go away again.

Sniff. So powerful. And also, your descriptive prose OWNS in this chapter.

Lovely, snookums!

I still love (love love LOVE) the hospital scenes the best, and the way you write the Logan/Veronica dynamic. It's gorgeous.

But. BUT. OMG.

The man had turned beet red, but she persisted. “It’s just, we tend to get pretty much the same crowd every karaoke night, so they’ve all heard your rendition of “Jessie’s Girl”. A lot.”

For that, I will love you. FOREVER. :)

You did a fantastic job of balancing the lightness with the heavy--Lamb's mom (heeee), Mac's breakdown, Veronica's worry about Keith, the tension with Logan..you REALLY covered the gamut, and it *works*.

Awesomeness all around :).

It was awesome!

I liked the reference to Little Veronica and Lamb's Mom was hysterical.

Great chapter!

So, so good. I love the Logan/Veronica dynamic here. And any snarking with Lamb serves to make things wonderful!
However, I seriously think Keith should just stay put. Has the man learned nothing? He's putting poor Veronica through some sort of emotional hell. I'm beginning to get cross.
Great stuff.

I love what you did with the scene where Veronica tells Madison she wasn't being harrassed. I think this chapter does a great job moving the arc stuff forward, and also handling a rather delicate MotW. You rock!
