I was expecting a serious case of angst today, and instead I get tons of banter and snark and Lamb in stupid costumes, with a bit of angst in for good measure!!!
Ok--now that I've expressed my love for this, on the whole, let me say that the Keith and Veronica scenes were great. It was wonderful to see them back into their old ways but still have that awkwardness from everything else.
Logan's party also amused me to know end. It would have been nicer for Veronica to stay, but it still hurt Logan (as the angst at the end gets across really well.) When did Logan get to be so emotionally stable?
Kate--I know that you're responsible for the naked mudflaps and The Rosenbaum, but they were wonderful.
This story needed a break from all the death, and this was wonderful!!!

Believe it or not, I was responsible for the naked lady mudflaps, but Kate was most certainly responsible for The Rosenbaum reference. I wholly endorsed that addition. :)
Thanks again!

Of course, I have naked Rosenbaum mudflaps on my Camry, so ...

(And um, the fact that you just called me circumspect RIGHT as I was typing a comment on your LJ saying I was being circumspect? YIPES. Braintwin!)

This is why I always refresh livejournal page every five minutes....Amazing. I love that L/V worked their snark together against Lamb. I love Keith and V working together like in 'Lord of the Blings' again. And I love the Rosenbaum shout-out. Chapter five is beautifully dark with a glow of light and this one is funny and light with a just a tiny shade of darkness, and they balanced each other nicely.
Awesome, you two!

Thank you!

It was sort of our tribute to the series, trying to work in references to plot points on the actual show, like with Keith and Veronica working together. I'm glad you enjoyed!

Can I help it if Michael Rosenbaum portrays him as a complex and compelling villain, with a touch of pathos, and still looks good doing it? Donny, you should really check him out. You might pick up a few pointers, if you decide to shift away from incompetence and go the evil mastermind route. Laughing. My ass. OFF.
Thought you did a really good job of continuing the tension between Veronica and Keith. Even though they're trying to do the daddy-daughter thing it's not really happening.
I felt so sorry for Logan at the end. He just wants to know what's going on in her head. Why must she always run away from him. WHY? Yes, I am frustrated.
Great snarkage all the way through the Lamb scene. And HE WAS WEARING A JOURNEY T-SHIRT. You guys RAWK. Well done!

Glad you liked all those parts - and yes, the Journey t-shirt. Hee. THANKS!

What an incredible chapter.
Firstly I was so happy to see Keith and Veronica spending some time together in the beginning. I really love Keith and I hate that there is a strain in their relationship.
Secondly, I loved the Lamb scene. I love how he is wearing a Journey shirt and how Logan played off that. Oh, and also I loved Veronica's and Logan debate on who Lamb had a crush on, that had me in tears practically.
The last bit really depressed me though hopefully Veronica will stop running and just tell Logan how she feels!
this is love.
really.
