So my boyfriend and I are going to move to the Southwest. We have given ourselves one year, but the way things are going, it could be a lot sooner. There is an organic farm/CSA/lavendar farm on the outskirts of ABQ, which have already expressed interest in him. There is a fantastic job opportunity at the local PBS station. yes that is the farm!! we are so excited to get out there! i hope we can be neighbors, even if that means we live miles from each other...but that only feels like southwest neighbors. i have to explain to my baby that driving long distances is no big deal in the west. it is just part of every day living. he thinks he knows, but he doesn't.

they're fantastic; they're not "too" far from where i live. i've been wanting to join in on their grocery deliveries, but i'm away from home so often (like at least 3-4 days a week) it just really isn't feasible.

it's quiet. it gets quieter in the autumn/winters. this winter's looking to be an unpredictable one. had a 1-day storm blow through on thanksgiving. parts of the state are still pretty cold. the city's been alternating between early spring-like conditions to blustery winds, being overcast and being clear as a bell. the northern mountains outside taos/vegas/raton get more snow and "winter" than the central part of the state. santa fe gets more snow than albuquerque tho 2 years ago we had pretty heavy snows aaaaall over the city, not just in the heights (where it'll snow and rain more often than in the valley ( ... )
